The magazine is on sale now, so why not pop along
to their website
to get your copy now before they are all gone.

Below is the launch invitation that was
sent out by post and email.
Sophie did such a good job of styling, that
I didn't even recognise my own bra.
And credit to the photographer, model and other designer

Fake Magazine

Back in March I was approached by
stylist Sophie Benson to
borrow some items from my graduate
collection for an upcoming Magazine
her and friend, Kerry Leslie
were putting together in Birmingham as part of their final
collections.

I happily accepted and I want to say a big thank you to them both
for the opportunity they have given me.

Here is a little about the magazine, which is called Fake.

"F A K E is a collaborative project started by a fashion stylist and a graphic designer. The inspiration behind the publication was discovering that there was a wealth of unseen talent amongst our peers. We realised we had the perfect opportunity to showcase young, gifted, independent creatives. Not only this, there were a lot of interesting projects happening under the radar that we believed deserved more recognition. This magazine serves the purpose of promoting such ventures, taking F A K E in a different direction to other magazines that are found on news stands.

F A K E isn’t what fake is"

I was invited to their launch party which took place
last Friday, 27th May, at the 6/8 Kafe in Birmingham, a lovely
independent coffee house.
The place was full of friends, contributors and people that had asked to come
along, and was a really fun night, with music from Redherrings.

Here are a few snaps that I managed to get on the night.

6/8 Kafe.

Another board on display: Featuring my knicker from my final collection.

Music.

Issue 1: Each packaged in a paper back, with a typed label

Overall it was a lovely evening and I absolutely love not only the images
of my garments but the magazine itself. I would urge anybody
that is interested in upcoming designers, photographers and other
creatives to give it a read.

For now if you would like more information visit
Their website here and you can follow them on twitter here.
The magazine went on sale yesterday and can be ordered through their website.

Manchester Shoot, Final Photos

Back in January I was fortunate
enough to work with a group of extremely
talented and wonderful models and
photographers.

It has dawned on me that I have yet to post
any of the final images from shoots
this year.

To see more work from all these lovely people and to read
their own write ups of the day visit.

Boux Avenue

At the end of January I blogged about
Theo Paphitis' new lingerie brand Boux Avenue.

The wait now is finally over and Boux Avenue is officially open.
Their online store went live on the 1st April
and their 8 UK stores have been opening since then with the last opening
on the 8th April

Today is the first real chance I have had to look at what they had to offer,
and they definitely do not disappoint.
Having already known that Boux Avenue's size ranges were to include up to a
40G cup, I was still surprised to find 3 pages of DD+ bras.
I often find myself lusting over the smaller bras in shops, only to find that
if they do have it in a DD+ cup, it doesn't live up to the overall look of the smaller bra.
But not in this case. What they have to offer is far from mundane,
and for most cases, those prettier
smaller bras I am drawn to, also come in the larger sizes, with
every effort to keep the same fabric, design and appeal.

Boux Avenue lingerie is split in to two categories this season
Vintage Garden Party and Burlesque Boudoir.

There are pages worth of beautiful lingerie, but i have chosen my favourites
from each theme. All the bras I have chosen
to feature are those which have sizes in DD+.

Vintage Garden Party

Serena lace balconette bra £26
Comes in a 32B-38G
Luxurious inky blue satin with a floral lace overlay.

Mia lace babydoll with thong £40
Sizes 8BC - 18F
Sheer mesh babydoll with floral lace and peek-a-boo key holes

Georgia spot mesh brief £12
Sizes 8 - 16

Camilla satin and tulle balconette bra-£26
Sizes 32A - 38F
Beautiful silver silk satin with pleated tulle features and ivory lace trim.

Georgia spot mesh balconette bra - £24
Sizes, unfortunately this is only stocked in a 32A- 38DD
Pleated polka dot mesh balconette bra.

Burlesque Boudoir

Tori lace moulded plunge bra - £22
Sizes 32A - 38F
Nude plunge bra with exotic Moroccan lantern lace overlay

Tori lace body £34
Out of stock so no sizes listed.
Black mesh thong body, with Exotic lace overlay and peek-a-boo back feature.

Provocative lace unpadded balconette bra £26
Sizes 32D - 38G
Lavender cup with a beautiful black lace overlay with scallop and eyelash trim.

Frilly Milly shorts £8
Sizes 8-16
Sheer mesh knicker with rows of frilly lace.

French fancy chiffon chemise and knickers set £28
Sizes 8-16
Sheer floaty chiffon chemise embelished with rows of white lace.

Ava vintage floral balconette £24
Sizes 32A - 38F
Vintage inspired floral print with a black sheer lace trim.

These are just a few of my personal favourites, and there are plenty of other
sizes available with some ranges in the following sizes, bras up to a 40G, knickers up to a size 20, Suspenders, babydolls and slips up to a size 18.

And if nothing above takes your fancy then there are whole ranges
for more everyday wear in black and white, nightwear and loungewear in a range
of cottons and homewear pieces to fill your home with
a little bit of Boux Avenue.

Nobody does it better

...than Strumpet and Pink.
I have been in love with this brand ever
since I first laid
eyes on them a few years back.

These pieces are far too nice to wear,
but are absolutely gorgeous
and so feminine
how can you not resist.

My two particular favourites are the two below,
which can be purchased on
luxury Italian website
Black Satin.

Strumpet and Pink: Flower of Balay
Strumpet and Pink: A private Function

Sheer Sunshine.

I am excited because i have just discovered French brand
Les Jupons de Tess
and their diffusion line, LJT.

The collection is made up of sheer fabrics
which is bang on trend this season.
There is an irresistible softness with this diffusion line and with
a palette of bright summery whites and fresh mint greens,
and is a sure reminder that
Spring is on its way.

To see more of the collection or view the couture collection
visit Les Jupon de Tess.
